Barcode is a machine readable format. It contains data which can be read by machines. Barcodes can be generated by various ways. They are generally used as price tags which contains the price information of a material. Visually barcodes are nothing but parallel lines of different size. There are different codes being used in barcodes. They are code 128, code 93 etc. Barcode was first introduced in 1952. Where these barcodes are being used? These barcodes are mainly used in grocery store, department store, etc. These are also used in tracking an item. These barcodes can be scanned by electronic systems called barcode readers.
